The Guardians (shown here protecting the Temple of Mitra) were a force to be reckoned with this past Saturday.

Server OpenBeta4 will forever remember the name The Guardians.

From the start, Tesso was ours. We policed those who griefed and spawn camped, and sent them away. And those who continued to charge, swiftly fell to our swords and spells.

When we left Tesso, another guild tried to reclaim Tesso. Their reign fell short, as the Guardians returned once more to rule the town.


In 6 days, The Guardians will rule again!

We shifted a few forums around in the expansion area, combining FPS and console games in "Other Games and Interests". We also opened a new forum called "Club 360", led by Barnaby.

I don't know what hes doing in there, but stay posted, because hes cookin up somethin spicey.

While we are only in Open Beta, yet we are still an ambitious group!

Despite being only level 13, four brave Guardians traveled to the top of the Archeron Ruins to kill the Lvl 18 Bat Demon Boss!

After a couple mishaps, Airic, Kilmar, Gnosis (Icarus), and Erroll, downed the mighty Demon.

Greetings Guardians

As an Officer and Council Member in TG since 2002, I've often counseled others not to leave a position of service unless they are absolutely sure they can no longer do the job. I feel that it is time to take my own advice, and step down from The Guardian Council and the position of Director of Development. Have no fear though, my replacement has already been named. Calvin will be stepping in to take over where I left off and I am sure he will help push TG to new heights.

In recent months, my real life responsibilities have consumed my time in ways that I never would have expected at the first of the year. I've found myself focusing more on my family and career more than I ever have before. Maybe it has something to do with me turning 30 in just a few months, or maybe I'm just moving on to a different chapter in my life. Whatever it is, my time in online gaming communities seems to be coming to an end.

I want to thank everyone who has ever been associated with the TG organization, as I still believe that this is one of the finest groups of people ever assembled under a common banner on the internet. Whether you've been a long-time member, are a former member or have just been a friend of the community, you have contributed to a great deal of personal enjoyment for myself and many others. For that, I'll be eternally grateful. I'm looking forward to stepping back and watching where the current leaders can take this group from the viewpoint of a regular member.

A while ago applications were held for the new Vice Commander position for the Age of Conan division. The Vice Commander is charged with assisting the military commander with any and all military tactics in PvP content throughout the game as well as organizing PvP events. He is also charged with the duty of upholding the guardian standards and dealing with daily guild issues. Through careful deliberation the officers and I have made our decision on the candidates for this position. And without further delay our new Vice Commander for AoC division is.............Mackla!!

Congratulations Mackla do your fellow Guardians proud!! Now your late get to work!

After months of working together to make it happen the evening raid defeated the Balrog as well. Two Balrog kills in one day is an amazing feat for our Kinship and I am so very proud of us.

I want to give a great deal of credit to Calvin especially. He worked tirelessly to make this happen. He worked hard on the strategies, helping with traits, teaching people about the best way to raid, teaching me personally about aggro management. Thank you again for your dedication Calvin, we could not have done this without you.

Everyone worked so hard as a team this weekend. The raid leaders Bando, Cezelle and Davvric led us through each step, taking time and patience to explain what each step was. The tanks Cyan and Brogen worked hard to keep the balrog and others away from the party. The loremasters Lancaeriel (Davvric) and Cezelle were amazing at keeping wounds cured and stun immunity up. Gilanthos clobbered the balrog mercilessly while the hunters Panaros, Celdrast and Findarbor pewpewed away at him. Nismon, Guthred and myself healed the heck out of everyone and especially the elf chick. Bando was (as always) a shining example of a burg...stunning the balrog at EXACTLY the right time. The best part is that no one fell into the River Shifted ...heheh!

Congrats to Panamros for getting the killing blow...he won a gold piece from me for this acheivement. Cezelle got the Broken Link which provides an amazing ring and hope for the entire group next week. Cyan got a shiny new pair of shoulder guards and Gilranthos got the best looking cloak in the game - Wig-feld. I got an amazing new mace that i am so excited about...it looks like a flower..lol. Celdrast was lucky enough to win the roll for the trophy for his house...it is a huge blade that can also be seen in front of the kinship house. The morning raid got the honor of placing it there.

This is an incredible accomplishment for us and I am so happy to be part of this amazing group of players.
